Note: Cooling power is measured outside MXC flange on dual pulse tube system. For single pulse tube systems guaranteed/expected cool-down times are 36/34 hours.

Special Versions


Entry level systems provide a BF-XLD cryostat without dilution unit. Allows experiments down to 3K or 0.5K with the possibility of upgrading to dilution refrigerator at any later stage. All standard options such as magnets, wiring and vibration isolation are available. Upgrading to full BF-XLD dilution refrigerator takes only 3-4 days at site of installation.


For demanding experiments which require the highest cooling powers, introducing the BF-XLD1000. Base temperature is typically below 7mK and cooling power above 30µW at 20mK and over 1mW at 100mK.
